When we lived in Madison, Liz was a friend of a little girl, Gina, down the driveway. During the summer they went blackberry picking out around the pastures that surrounded our house. One day the little girl brought a friend with her on one of their trips. Liz, always the friend ask the little girl what her name was, and she answered “Iris von Braun”. She then asked her if her father worked at Redstone. Iris said, “He Runs it”. Gina and Iris took several of the resulting pies home with her. Gina reported that their families had enjoyed the pies for dinner that evening.
